Created for Big Rock Brewery's "Eddie's," a commercial competition, these three ads were independently produced by Affolter Entertainment in 2008. Each commercial varies in style & technique, but all aim to entertain and showcase the product. By layering the ads with gags and eye-popping imagery, they grab the audiences' attention and keep them coming back to enjoy the commercial again.

With over 200 commercials entered into the competition, Big Rock Jones was awarded 1st place and 24 Pack was awarded 2nd place at the 'Edmonton Eddies' (a festival screening showcasing the top 18 ads from Western Canada). The ads were so popular with the Big Rock staff that both were specially selected to be screened at the Eastern Canadian 'Eddies' in Toronto.

 

To follow, on June 2nd both commercials were screened in front of 1800 guests of the competition's final round in Calgary, Alberta. Big Rock Jones was then awarded 3rd place-earning the company 3 out of a possible 6 prizes!

Big Rock Jones & 24 Pack will also be seen at the 2008 Calgary International Film Festival.


The audience takes their seats for Calgary's Eddies at the EPCOR Centre for the Performing Arts.
